Meet the Makers
There is a love story behind Matr Boomie: a love for India and the founders, Manish and Ruchi, well they discovered it too in each other. They work in India partnering with over 1,500 artisans in vulnerable communities aspiring to close the gender gap by creating confidence for female artisans as they invest in vocational training and literacy programs in addition to paying fair wages. They source the material in an environmentally and socially responsible way, using natural and upcycled materials. They are brilliant at using traditional art forms to create 21st-century designs.
